James Byrne is the editor and co-founder of The Wolf poetry magazine. His debut collection, Passages of Time, was published by Flipped Eye in 2003. James has recited his poems in the UK and America and helped to organize the ‘World Poets' Tour' for the Poetry Translation Centre at SOAS, London. He is currently translating poetry from Sudan and Burma and recently translated the Yemeni national anthem. James is currently co-editing Voice Recognition, an anthology of new and emerging poets, to be published by Bloodaxe early in 2009, and a Selected Poems of Hope Mirrlees. He was born in 1977 and lives in London.
