Alison Fell is a Scottish novelist and poet who lives in London. She has published seven novels, including Mer de Glace, which won the Boardman Tasker Memorial Award, The Mistress of Lilliput, and Tricks of the Light. Her previous books of poetry are Kisses for Mayakovsky, which won the Alice Hunt Bartlett Award, The Crystal Owl and Dreams, like heretics. her poem January, 5 was selected by Janice Galloway to be published on the SPL website as one of the Best Scottish Poems 2006.
