Edwin Morgan wins Sundial Scottish Arts Council Award for A Book of Lives

A packed Festival marquee at the 5th Borders Book Festival in Melrose gave a standing ovation for Scotland's first Makar Edwin Morgan on his triumph over a diverse and sterling set of fellow shortlisted nominees.

Wer d'ye come fae?

Launched just in time for Refugee Week 2008, this project encouraged participants of a range of backgrounds to share stories about life in Scotland and to write about their experiences. As well as developing skills in writing, participants explored ideas of identity, with the aim of helping to change perceptions of both incomers and native Scots.
