Greyfriars Kirkyard Trust restore Duncan Ban MacIntyre

[ « ]

Duncan Ban MacIntyre (1724-1812), one of the most celebrated Gaelic poets – author of "In Praise of Ben Dorain" and "The Final Farewell to the Bens" – died in Edinburgh and was buried in the churchyard of Greyfriars Tolbooth & Highland Kirk, the only church in Edinburgh where a Gaelic service is still held every Sunday.

If you wish to support the new initiative of the Greyfriars Kirkyard Trust to restore Ducan Ban's dilapidated gravestone (which will cost about £3,000), send a cheque to Greyfriars Kirkyard Trust, 1 Clarendon Crescent, Edinburgh EH4 1PT, marked 'For Duncan Ban'.

The GKT is a registered charity and welcomes Gift Aid payments
