| The
second Holyrood Poetry Link scheme aims to celebrate the vibrancy
of contemporary Scottish poetry, whilst providing an opportunity for
Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) to demonstrate their support
for the arts. |

Poets and MSPs met to explore issues of mutual interest and agree a theme or themes on which the poet would write. Some of the partnerships revealed similar political outlooks; with others, the spark came from their differing views. The participants’ comments, published alongside the results of each partnership, offer an insight into the process of creating these poems. As completed poems began to trickle in, the areas of common concern became apparent: issues of ownership and access in sharply observed landscapes; ideas of attachment, belonging and loss. The partnerships engaged with a broad range of subjects, yet the recurring question seems to be: whose Scotland is it now? Related Links › http://www.scottish.parliament.uk
