Ron Butlin

Ron lives in Edinburgh and is a full-time writer, poet and journalist. He has roamed the world to give readings in Nigeria, Mauritius, and Central and Eastern Europe with the support of the British Council. Meet Ron Butlin

Valerie Gillies

Valerie is an award winning poet, best known as the River Poet who followed the Tweed and the Tay from source to sea. She grew up riding racehorses in South Lanarkshire and was a student in South India at a Hindu university. Meet Valerie Gillies

Diane Hendry

Diana Hendry

Diana Hendry grew up by the sea and has worked as a journalist, English teacher and tutor in Creative Writing at the University of Bristol. Her poetry has won a number of awards including first prize in the 1996 Housman Society Competition. Meet Diana Hendry

Edwin Morgan

Edwin Morgan

A poet, translator, playwright and critic, Edwin was born in Glasgow in 1920. He was awarded the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry 2000 and was Poet Laureate of Glasgow for many years. Meet Edwin Morgan
