Anyone can use the library free of charge, but by becoming a Friend of the Scottish Poetry Library, you can help provide vital support for our work.

comprehensive listings of new Scottish poetry publications
free postal borrowing within the UK and EU
discounted tickets to SPL events with membership card

occasional discounted book offers
use of our pleasant study/meeting room with tea and coffee-making facilities
small groups may have meetings in the members' room during our opening hours, by arrangement
twice-yearly Friends' Evenings, with late opening and refreshments

How to become a Friend

Friends' subscription is £25 per year for individuals (£15 concession/low waged - under £12,000 p.a) and £40 per year for organisations.

You can pay by cheque, made out to The Scottish Poetry Library, or by standing order. You can also help benefit the library by using Gift Aid.
